Jack Starr AwardJack Starr Award

On April 25, 2007, Hadley was awarded the Jack Starr Award at Rural Vermont’s annual meeting. The award recognizes a farmer who has stepped up to the plate as an activist to help all farmers get better policy. Hadley joined with colleague and friend George Schenk, of American Flatbread, to protest and ultimately help change a state policy that prevents restaurants from selling products that are not processed at state slaughterhouses.

Congratulations Hadley!! Thank you George!
